Kenneth Gray for Congress

Kenneth Gray has been writing and speaking about the need for U.S. energy independence since 1975. While others make excuses for why it cannot be accomplished, he has consistently provided realistic answers in three published books, over fifty newspaper columns and radio and TV interviews. Chapters from his next book, Energy Independence Now, are available at rockthatburns.com. Kenneth is the author of The Rock That Burns, a political novel published in 2002.

Kenneth Gray wrote his Master's thesis on political thought and his Ph.D. dissertation on Interior Department policy. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1976 and also holds a Certificate in International Relations from the University of Utah.

Kenneth was employed by the Interior Department writing socioeconomic sections of environmental impact statements for proposed developments on western land and served in a similar position in private industry.

He worked for several years as a supervising labor market economist for the State of Utah but left government employment to become a principal consultant and then a database administrator for a Fortune 50™ company.

Kenneth and his wife, Judith, are lifetime residents of Utah and have lived in Sandy the past 27 years. Judith holds a Master's degree from the University of Utah. She taught high school speech, debate and drama for several years and served as debate coach and forensic director. Later, she also worked for several years as a high school and junior high school counselor. Kenneth and Judith are the parents of one daughter.
